The Carriage House at Princess Place is a cozy, thoughtfully crafted retreat made with reclaimed materials. Located beside Burnt Mill Creek in a peaceful birdwatching neighborhood, it’s just 1.5 miles to Downtown Wilmington and the Riverwalk and 7 miles to Wrightsville Beach. Guests enjoy a private hot tub and fire table, making it ideal year-round for beach days, downtown exploring, snowbirds, and travel nomads seeking comfort and character.

The wildlife at Burnt Creek Mill is plentiful and the 1.5 miles of historic cemeteries begin a block from our home. Historic Downtown Wilmington (1.5 miles away) is accessible by car or you can even walk. Wrightsville Beach is 7 miles away and Carolina Beach is 16 miles away.

Guest Access

You will have exclusive access to a screened front porch. The dedicated 4 man hot tub is reserved for the Carriage House and Casita guests only. The Casita is the apartment below the Carriage House. The fire table is for guests to enjoy year round!

Good to know

Please note that The Carriage House is a private, second-floor apartment located above The Casita, another Airbnb on the property. Access requires climbing one flight of exterior stairs, making this home best suited for guests who are comfortable using stairs.

Other Details to Note

While the number of guests is set at two (2), I do allow for a third occupant, if the person is a child (18 or younger) and I have been advised. I have a Ring door bell at the main house at the front door and a Ring security camera the back porch of the main house.
